What are Stock Index Tabs:

Stock Index Tabs are Standard Index Tabs that are made in large quanities and are in inventory waiting for your order. So in most cases we can ship our stock tabs the same day you order them. Some of the tabs we keep in stock are but not limited to; Number tabs, Jan-Dec, Roman Numeral, etc. You can take a look at our home page for pricing and pictures.

Terms:

Mylar:
Plastic coating that protects your Index Tab, located on the tab part of the sheet. Plastic heat sealed on both sides of the tab.

Mylar Reinforcement:
Plastic strip that protects your holes from ripping out and is located on the back side of the sheet.  

Hole Punching:
Most Index Tabs have holes in them of some sort, so they can go into a binder or some other filing system. Since we are the manufacturer we can put several different styles of holes in your index tabs, but 3 hole (4 ¼”center to center) is the most common.  The second most common hole configuration is 2 Hole (2 ¾ center to center).

Paper Stock:
All of our Stock Index Tabs are run using 90# White Index (card stock).
Our Standard paper size: 11” x 8 ½” (11” x 9” overall sheet size including tab)

Collating:
All of our Stock Tabs are collated in straight order. Blank tabs may be collated (straight or reverse order) or bulk packed (you put the sets together yourself).  Please see our home page for pictures and pricing.

Blank Tabs:
Are 90# Index stock paper and nothing on them. If you would like Clear or Colored Mylar, Mylar Reinforcing, or other than 5th cut we can do that also. Please call for a price 800-662-5341.

Copyable Tabs:
Your choice of having no Mylar or Clear Mylar that you can run thru your Copier and actually copy onto the plastic. Our Copyable plastic lamination is approved by Xerox.
